NBA Preview from The Sports Network

Monday, January 15th (All times eastern)

Toronto Raptors (17-21) at Philadelphia 76ers (10-27), 2 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Toronto Raptors visit the Atlantic Division-rival Philadelphia 76ers this afternoon at the Wachovia Center.

Toronto, which is tied atop the division with New Jersey, had its brief two- game winning streak come to an end with Sunday's 97-96 loss to the Dallas Mavericks at the Air Canada Centre. Josh Howard's layup with under one second remaining on the clock lifted Dallas to the win.

Chris Bosh had 24 points and 15 rebounds for the Raptors, who led by as many as 16 points in the game. T.J. Ford added 16 points and eight assists in defeat and Anthony Parker scored 14 points in the loss.

The Raptors, who are 7-15 on the road this season, will open a five-game homestand after Monday's game in Philadelphia.

Meanwhile, the Sixers have dropped five of their last six games, including Saturday's 89-83 setback to the Charlotte Bobcats.

Willie Green had a game-high 19 points and Kyle Korver tallied 15 for the struggling 76ers, who are 5-8 at home this season and basement dwellers in the weak Atlantic standings.

Samuel Dalembert had 12 points and 15 boards for Philadelphia.

Monday's game is the first meeting of the season between the division foes. The Sixers have won six of nine and 10 of the last 16 meetings in the series.

Toronto has won six of its last 10 trips to the City of Brotherly Love.
