NBA Game Summary - Utah at Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Al Jefferson had 22 points to lead six Timberwolves in double digits, as Minnesota upended the Utah Jazz, 110-103, at the Target Center.
Ryan Gomes scored 17 points, while Corey Brewer finished with 16 and seven rebounds for the Timberwolves, who extended their home winning streak to four games. Rashad McCants chipped in 16 points off the bench for Minnesota.
"(They're) definitely a tough team, one of the top teams in the NBA," Minnesota's Marko Jaric said about the Jazz. "They played very physical."
Carlos Boozer poured in a game-high 25 points and pulled down 10 boards for the Jazz, who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end. Ronnie Brewer tallied 20 points, while Deron Williams scored 15 and dished out 13 assists.
The Jazz still lead the Northwest Division by 2 1/2 games over Denver.
"We had a couple guys out tonight and I thought they (Timberwolves) played pretty well," Utah's Matt Harpring said. "I just got to give them credit they played well."
Utah was without the services of center Mehmet Okur (virus) and forward Andrei Kirilenko (calf).
After Utah's Paul Millsap converted a pair from the charity stripe, tying the score at 78 in the early stages of the fourth quarter, McCants nailed a driving layup to kickstart an 11-2 flurry that propelled the Timberwolves to an 89-80 lead with 8:33 remaining.
Utah countered with an 8-2 spurt to narrow the deficit to 91-88, but Jaric knocked down a trey to restore a seven-point lead, 101-94, with 2:20 left in regulation.
Minnesota's Kirk Snyder completed a three-point play with 44.2 seconds remaining to make it 104-98 and Jefferson sank of pair of free throws in the dying moments to seal the win.
The Jazz held a 23-30 lead after the opening 12 minutes of play, but Snyder drove to hard to the rim and buried a layup to put the Timberwolves on top, 31-30, with 6:05 to play in the second quarter. The clubs went back and forth the remainder of the frame and Utah carried a slim 44-43 lead into halftime.
A Ronnie Brewer layup stretched the Utah advantage to 59-53, but Minnesota responded with an 8-0 run, capped by Corey Brewer's tip-in with 5:25 remaining in the third. Utah led 74-71 after a slam by Boozer, but the Timberwolves rattled off five straight points to close the stanza and headed into the fourth quarter with a 76-74 lead.
Utah shot 53.9 percent from the floor. Minnesota made 53.2 of its shots...The Jazz converted 1-of-12 from beyond the arc...Utah held a 36-35 edge on the glass...Jaric and Snyder both finished with 10 points...Harpring had 15 points, seven rebounds and two blocks.
