NBA Game Summary - LA Lakers at Seattle

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Pau Gasol had 22 points to lead seven Lakers in double figures, as Los Angeles extended its winning streak to eight games with a 111-91 dismantling of the Seattle SuperSonics at KeyArena.
Kobe Bryant tallied 21 points and 10 assists before he was ejected with four minutes to go in the third quarter for arguing. Lamar Odom scored 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for Los Angeles, which led from start to finish. Sasha Vujacic and Jordan Farmar added 13 and 12 points, respectively, off the bench.
"I thought we carried the energy out there on the floor," said Lakers coach Phil Jackson. "I'm very impressed with how hard we played."
At 39-17, Los Angeles owns the best record in the Western Conference.
Mickael Gelabale poured in a career-high 21 points for the Sonics, who have dropped two of three. Kevin Durant and Jeff Green scored 15 points apiece, while Earl Watson had 12 points, eight assists and five rebounds for Seattle.
Los Angeles came out strong, taking an 18-6 lead on Gasol's turnaround hook shot. Francisco Elson's jumper trimmed the deficit to six, 20-14, but that's as close the Sonics got.
The Lakers shot 58 percent in the opening quarter and carried a 34-18 edge into the second quarter and led 62-43 at halftime.
"They (Lakers) had us on our heels initially, and we were never able to respond," Seattle coach P.J. Carlesimo said. "Earl Watson was really pushing it, but our other guys were a little bit less aggressive."
The advantage ballooned to 31, 88-57, in the third quarter, and with four minutes left in the stanza, Bryant was dismissed after receiving a pair of technicals.
Despite the ejection, Seattle didn't pose a threat and Los Angeles coasted to the victory.
Los Angeles has won five straight and seven of the last eight meetings against Seattle...The Lakers have won seven in a row as the visitor...Los Angeles shot 48.9 percent (45-of-92) from the floor, including a sizzling 52.4 percent (11- of-21) from three-point range...Seattle made only 40 percent (38-of-95) of its shots.
