(Wednesday, March 5th)

Final Score: Charlotte 118, Golden State 109

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Jason Richardson scored a season-high 42 points as the Charlotte Bobcats beat the Golden State Warriors, 118-109.

Richardson spent six seasons with the Warriors before being traded on draft night. He finished two points shy of his career-high.

Raymond Felton added 22 points and Jared Dudley finished with 10 points and a career-high 18 rebounds for the Bobcats, who have won a season-best three straight. Emeka Okafor had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Charlotte.

Monta Ellis scored 32 points and Baron Davis 30 for the Warriors, who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Stephen Jackson added 21 points for Golden State.

Charlotte closed the game with a 13-3 run. Felton's layup with 5:15 remaining sparked the flurry and put the Bobcats ahead 107-106. Moments later, Felton's jumper made it 114-109 with 1:40 to go.

Ellis then missed two foul shots and Al Harrington missed a three-pointer, and the Bobcats added four free throws down the stretch.

Golden State came out hot early and took a 20-9 lead with 6:06 remaining in the opening quarter on Jackson's tip-in. The Warriors continued to surge in the first and led 38-25 heading into the second quarter.

The Bobcats opened the second quarter with a 10-0 run. Richardson's three with 9:02 left in the stanza pulled Charlotte within 38-35. Earl Boykins' layup with 2:09 left in the second put the Bobcats ahead 51-50. Charlotte took a 59-57 lead into the intermission.

The Bobcats pushed their lead to 93-86 at the end of three quarters. In the fourth, Charlotte led by 10, 103-93, on Okafor's layup with 8:06 left before Golden State went on its 13-3 run.
