"He caught the ball and made shots," Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan said of Korver. "When he's making shots like that I thought each one of them was counted as a hundred points, but I looked at the scoreboard and they only counted three. Our fans loved it and its really exciting for our fans. So, I can live with it."
Ronnie Brewer had 11 points for the Jazz, who are on their longest overall winning streak since the 1999-00 season when they also won nine in a row. Carlos Boozer added 19 points and 17 boards, while Mehmet Okur tallied 14 points.

Utah held a 21-20 lead after 12 minutes of play and a three-point barrage ensued in the second for the Jazz. Korver hit four straight from beyond the arc, and Utah's first 18 points of the period came from long-distance shots.

Utah's lead hovered around the high-teens for the rest of the third quarter. Six straight Boozer points to end the stanza gave the Jazz an 82-62 cushion heading into the final frame.
A Korver three and a Matt Harpring jumper gave the Jazz a 24-point lead, however, a 10-0 New Orleans run pulled the Hornets to 87-73 with 9:21 on the clock. Pargo accounted for five of the points, Bobby Jackson drained a three and a Melvin Ely jumper sparked the run.
Moments later, five straight Williams points keyed a 12-3 Jazz run that extended Utah's lead to 20 points, 100-80, with just under five minutes to play.
"The bottom line in the last couple of games is teams are playing harder than we are," Hornets head coach Byron Scott said. "Utah is a more physical team, I thought they were just more physical than we are. They beat us up a little bit, just played a lot better than we did."
New Orleans' Tyson Chandler grabbed 11 rebounds...The Hornets were 10-of-18 from three-point land...Both teams had 39 rebounds...Williams was 3-for-4 on three-point attempts...The previous Utah record for most three-pointers was 13, set on Dec. 7, 1995 against the Denver Nuggets.
