NBA Game Summary - Houston at Memphis

Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Yao Ming scored 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and the Houston Rockets routed the Memphis Grizzlies, 103-83.
Luis Scola contributed 22 points off the bench for the Rockets, who played without Tracy McGrady, who sat with a sore left knee. McGrady is expected to miss at least one more game with the injury. Shane Battier scored 18 points and had six rebounds for the Rockets, who had lost six of eight entering play.
Pau Gasol scored 23 points and pulled in seven boards for the Grizzlies, who dropped their fourth straight. Darko Milicic had 12 points and eight rebounds, and Mike Miller added 11 points, eight assists, and nine boards for Memphis.
Houston pulled away in the third quarter. A Bonzi Wells reverse layup opened a 10-3 Houston run, capped by back-to-back three-pointers by Rafer Alston and Battier, the second boosting the Rockets to a 60-46 lead with 8:33 left. The Houston lead stood at 78-65 at the end of the third quarter.
A Kyle Lowry three-pointer cut the Houston lead to 83-70 with 10:01 left in regulation, but the Rockets answered with a 10-2 run to put the game out of reach. Luther Head drained a three-pointer on the stretch, which Yao capped by making one-of-two free throws to put the Rockets up 93-72 with 6:37 remaining. Memphis never threatened down the stretch.
The Rockets led 22-15 after one quarter. Houston pushed its lead to 12 points midway through the second quarter, but a Stromile Swift three-point play kicked off a 13-2 Grizzlies run. Swift had another three-point play on the run, and a Gasol jumper pulled Memphis within 38-37 with 3:51 left in the half.
The Rockets rallied, though, scoring six straight points in the last minute of the half to take a 50-43 lead into the break.
The Grizzlies struggled from the field, shooting 36.9 percent, and making only 7-of-19 three-pointers (36.8 percent). Houston didn't fare much better from behind the arc, making 8-of-21 (38.1 percent), but the Rockets did sink 47.7 percent from the field...Alston and Wells added 10 points each for Houston...Swift and Lowry scored 10 points each for Memphis. Swift had seven rebounds.
