Brandon Roy scored 19 points and grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who won for just the second time in their last eight games. Martell Webster also chipped in with 11 points off the bench, and Sergio Rodriguez scored nine points and dished out nine assists in the win.
The Blazers played without leading scorer and rebounder Zach Randolph, who was granted bereavement leave by the team on Monday.

The Wizards continued to battle, but the Trail Blazers held a 97-93 edge with just 19 seconds left. Jamison drained a three-point shot with 15 seconds on the clock to make it 97-96, but Jack converted on three of his four free throw attempts -- sandwiched by an Arenas layup -- for the Blazers.
He missed his last chance from the stripe and Washington tried to force the game to overtime as Arenas drove the ball down the lane, but his shot fell well short of the rim at the final buzzer.
