(Saturday, February 10th)

Final Score: Utah 104, New York 102 (OT)

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Derek Fisher's lay-in with 3.6 seconds left in overtime lifted the Utah Jazz over the New York Knicks, 104-102.

Mehmet Okur ended with 29 points, spearheading a late fourth-quarter run, to lead the Jazz, who overcame a 10-point deficit to win for the fourth straight time.

Paul Millsap added 18 points and nine rebounds for Utah, which ended a five- game slide to the Knicks and avenged an overtime loss in New York earlier this season.

Jamal Crawford had 29 points and 10 rebounds to lead New York, which opened a three-game road trip by having a two-game win streak halted. Eddy Curry had 27 points eight rebounds and David Lee tallied 15 points and 11 boards for the Knicks, who will also visit the Lakers and Warriors before embarking on the All-Star break.

With the game tied at 102-102 after Quentin Richardson hit a three-pointer with 22.3 second left in the extra session, the Jazz responded. Deron Williams had the ball at the right key and found Fisher cutting back door on Crawford. Fisher gathered the pass and easily laid it in with 3.6 seconds left.

"I came off the pick and roll and was looking for (Okur), but I told Fisher to look for that back door cause it's been there all night," said Williams, who had 16 points and 10 assists. "I saw him go for it and threw the pass right on the money."

Fisher had 14 points.

New York called a time out, but Crawford took too much time to get his shot off and time expired before the ball fell through.

"I felt there was some contact but they felt it was something different so i can't argue, just got to keep playing," said Crawford.

New York head coach Isiah Thomas argued after the final buzzer that Crawford was fouled as he tried to get to the rim.

"This is going to be real quick," said Thomas afterwards. "I have absolutely no comment on tonight's game."

Steve Francis returned to the Knicks lineup after a 17-game absence due to right knee tendinitis.

After a close first half, the Knicks started to build themselves a lead late in the third quarter. Ahead 64-61, New York ended the stanza on a 12-5 run to takes its first double-digit lead of the contest. Crawford finished the run with a trey with 14 seconds left, sending New York into the fourth with a 76-66 advantage.

In the fourth, still down by 10 points, 89-79, the Jazz went on an 11-0 run to take the lead. Okur hit a pair of three-pointers during the surge, capping it with a long-range jumper with 2:25 left.

New York responded by scoring the next four points, but Okur again answered. With 1:20 left he hit 1-of-2 free throws. Then, with 12.7 remaining, he banked home a runner over David lee to tie the contest.

Crawford had a chance to win it for the Knicks, but his three-pointer missed as time expired.

The Knicks led 26-24 after one quarter, but the Jazz carried a 49-45 lead into halftime. New York started the third with eight straight points to take a 53-49 edge.
