East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Vince Carter poured in 32 points as the New Jersey Nets eased by the Orlando Magic, 93-78, at Continental Airlines Arena.

"I felt pretty good, my shot was falling, which set-up my drive later on," said Carter. "I just tried to take what the defense gave me."

Jason Kidd recorded 10 points, nine rebounds and six assists for New Jersey, which has won three in a row. Marcus Williams scored 12 points and tied a career-high with seven assists for the Nets.

Dwight Howard scored 25 points on 11-of-15 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Magic, who lost for the fourth time in five games. Darko Milicic added 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting and grabbed 12 boards for Orlando, which has lost four in a row at New Jersey.

A Howard layup gave the Magic a 61-60 lead with 4:18 left in the third period, but New Jersey scored six of the final eight points in the session to take a 66-63 edge heading into the fourth quarter.

The Nets began the fourth with an 11-4 surge, capped by a Bostjan Nachbar dunk to open a 77-67 lead with 8:43 left in the game.

Orlando never got closer than eight the rest of the way.

"We didn't do a very good job of making shots," said Magic coach Brian Hill. "They did an excellent job of making us work extremely hard to get it into Dwight."

New Jersey got out the gate quickly with a 10-4 burst to open the game. Carter and Kidd scored five points apiece during the stretch.

The Magic scored the final six points of the stanza to tie it at 28 after one quarter. Carter scored 17 in the period.
