Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Jason Terry scored 25 points and handed out six assists as Dallas beat up on New Orleans/Oklahoma City, 94-80.
Terry finished 10-of-20 from the field while Dirk Nowitzki posted 17 points for the Mavericks, who have won nine straight games and 10 of their last 11 overall.
Josh Howard added 15 points with six rebounds and Devin Harris contributed 12 points with four helpers in the win.
Dallas shot 44 percent from the floor.
Marc Jackson poured in 22 points and grabbed eight boards for the Hornets, who have lost eight of their last 10. Desmond Mason donated 17 points, Rasual Butler had 12 and Devin Brown recorded a double-doubled with 10 points and 10 rebounds in defeat.
New Orleans, which has lost 11 straight and 12 of their last 13 trips to Dallas, finished 41 percent shooting.
The Mavericks led 30-26 at the end of the first quarter, and in the second, outscored the Hornets by eight to go up 53-41 at halftime.
Nowitzki's jumper extended Dallas' advantage to 66-43 with 8:51 left in the third and the team cruised from that point forward. The Mavs took a 21-point lead into the fourth and maintained a double-digit cushion throughout the frame.
Dallas shot 42 percent from three-point range while New Orleans finished at just 20 percent from beyond the arc...The Mavs travel to Denver on Sunday and the Hornets host Golden State on Tuesday.
