NBA Game Summary - Boston at Milwaukee
(Saturday, November 25th)
Final Score: Boston 111, Milwaukee 98
Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - Paul Pierce scored 34 points as Boston used a second-half rally to defeat Milwaukee, 111-98, at the Bradley Center.
Pierce also had seven rebounds and seven assists while Wally Szczerbiak added 21 points for the Celtics, who bounced back from a lopsided loss to the Knicks on Friday.
Michael Redd scored 24 points and Andrew Bogut had 18 points and eight boards for the Bucks, who have lost four of their last five games.
Trailing by as many as 16 points in the third quarter, the Celtics closed the period strong and took a 83-80 lead on Delonte West's two-point shot as time expired.
"Breakdowns all over the place," said Redd. "Worrying about too much of our offense, lack of defense, fouling too much - they had to go to the free throw line too much. We just have to come out with the same intensity as we did in the first half."
Boston came out strong to start the final quarter and the Bucks never threatened as the Celtics pulled away.
After holding a 27-25 lead after the opening 12 minutes, Milwaukee rolled off a 17-5 run in the second quarter and took a 60-46 lead into the break.
"It was a great win for us," said Boston head coach Doc Rivers. "In the second half it was all about our defense. We score a lot of points. When we don't play defense, we don't score."
The Celtics had lost four of previous five games in Milwaukee...Ryan Gomes finished with 15 points and eight rebounds for Boston.
