San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Tony Parker scored 22 points, as the San Antonio Spurs pounded Utah, 106-83, for their 15th straight win over the Jazz at the AT&T Center.
Tim Duncan posted 20 points and nine rebounds for the Spurs, who have split their last four games. Manu Ginobili and Matt Bonner both added 12 points.
Deron Williams and Gordan Giricek both scored 11 points for the Jazz, who have split their last six games. Mehmet Okur and Paul Millsap added 10 points apiece.
San Antonio jumped out to a 29-24 first-quarter lead, before blowing the game open in the second.
The Spurs closed the second quarter on a 22-6 run, capped by a Parker jumper with two ticks left in the half, and led 58-43 at halftime.
San Antonio outscored the Jazz, 29-17, in the third to take an 87-60 advantage heading into the final stanza, in which Utah managed to trim just four points off its deficit for the final margin.
The Spurs shot 40-for-80 (50 percent) from the floor, compared to 30-for-71 (42 percent) by Utah, which got outrebounded, 47-39.
This was the second meeting of the season between the clubs. On November 29th, Carlos Boozer scored 23 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Jazz to an 83-75 home victory over the Spurs...The last time the Jazz won in San Antonio was on February 28, 1999.
