NBA Game Summary - San Antonio at Sacramento

(Sunday, November 19th)

Final Score: San Antonio 108, Sacramento 99

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Tim Duncan poured in 35 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as San Antonio cruised to a 108-99 victory over Sacramento.

"My post-up has been feeling pretty good," said Duncan. "I haven't made too many shots facing and that's what I've been working on, trying to get that back again."

Tony Parker scored 17 points while Manu Ginobili had 16 for the Spurs, who have won seven of their last eight games.

Ron Artest scored 22 points and grabbed five boards for the Kings, who have now dropped two in a row after winning four straight. Kevin Martin added 20 points.

"We need to focus more on our defense and move the ball around more on offense," said Sacramento's Mike Bibby.

The game remained tight through most of the first half and early in the third quarter before the Spurs managed to pull away from the Kings.

Holding a slim one-point edge, Fabricio Oberto's reverse layup ignited a 9-0 San Antonio run that put the Spurs up 74-64 with 5:55 left to play.

Sacramento got back within eight on two Martin free throws, but Michael Finley nailed a jumper and Ginobili drained a trey as time expired to give the Spurs a 91-78 lead into the fourth quarter.

San Antonio kept the Kings at arm's length in the final period with Sacramento getting no closer than nine.

The Spurs led 29-28 after the opening quarter and by a 56-54 margin at the break.
