NBA Game Summary - Orlando at Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Dwight Howard scored 21 points and pulled down 22 rebounds, and Jameer Nelson added 23 points to the lead the Orlando Magic to a 109-98 defeat of the Minnesota Timberwolves that wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated.
The Magic led by as many as 20, and by double-digits for much of the second half as they coasted to their third win in four games.
"It was important for us to get a road win," said Orlando coach Brian Hill, "for our mental health and to keep us above .500."
Darko Milicic added 15 points off of the bench for the Magic, who jumped out to a 13-4 start and never looked back.
Kevin Garnett scored 28 and grabbed 11 rebounds in a losing effort for the Timberwolves. Ricky Davis scored 16 and Mike James added 14 for Minnesota, which lost its fourth in a row. Mark Blount and Randy Foye scored 13 each for the Wolves.
"We dug ourselves in a hole a little bit," said Garnett. "We have to start games better."
Howard hit his first six shots to score 12 points and grab nine rebounds in the first quarter to post the Magic out to a 29-20 lead. Milicic dominated the second quarter, scoring 10 of his 15 in the period to help Orlando to a 59-41 halftime lead.
The Magic shot 50 percent from the field, to a 44.3 percent night from Minnesota...Both teams turned the ball over 11 times...Orlando's Grant Hill was deactivated to rest his injury-prone body on the second night of back-to- back games.
