NBA Game Summary - New Orleans/Oklahoma City at Seattle

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Chris Wilcox had 19 points and eight rebounds to lead Seattle's 94-74 rout of New Orleans/Oklahoma City at KeyArena.

Earl Watson dropped in a season-high 17 points and also had seven assists and Rashard Lewis added 15 points for Seattle, which has won three of four. Damien Wilkins tallied 14 points for the SuperSonics.

Chris Paul added 16 points for the injury-riddled Hornets, who have lost six of seven. Desmond Mason was the only other player to score in double figures, donating 10 points. Tyson Chandler pulled down 13 rebounds.

Peja Stojakovic (strained lower back), David West (strained right forearm) and guard Bobby Jackson (cracked left rib) were all sidelined for New Orleans/Oklahoma City. West has not played since November 12, while Stojakovic last played on November 24th. West has missed three straight games.

Seattle jumped out to a 27-18 lead after the first 12 minutes and continued to pull away in the second quarter. Wilkins' jump shot made it 46-20 with 4:05 remaining, the largest margin of the contest, and the Sonics coasted to a 49-33 halftime advantage.

The Hornets tried to reverse their fortune in the third quarter, eventually cutting their deficit to 68-60 on Jannero Pargo's jump shot. Seattle rebounded to carry a 74-62 lead into the fourth quarter.

New Orleans/Oklahoma City never threatened after that, as the Sonics went on a 14-6 run to open the final stanza and led by 18 with three minutes remaining in the game.

"I thought that our team defense was the key tonight," said Wilcox. "We communicated well and hung together."

The SuperSonics never trailed in the game...The Hornets shot 38 percent from the floor (28-of-72) while Seattle finished at 45 percent (35-of-77)...The Sonics are 5-6 at home this season...New Orleans/Oklahoma City is 5-6 on the road...The Hornets visit Golden State on Saturday...The SuperSonics host Golden State on Sunday.
