NBA Game Summary - New York at San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Michael Finley shot a perfect 8-of-8 from the field and 5-of-5 beyond the arc for 22 points off the bench as San Antonio routed New York, 121-93, at the AT&T Center.

Tony Parker notched 20 points and 12 assists for the Spurs, who have won four straight, 13 of their last 15 games and 17 of 20. Nick Van Exel scored 14 points, and Tim Duncan added 12 for San Antonio.

"It was a good night all around," Duncan said. "We moved the ball very well and were able to get a lot of guys a lot of minutes. It was a good victory, and now we prepare for the next one."

Quentin Richardson scored 14 points for the Knicks, who have lost four straight and 20 of their last 22 games. Eddy Curry scored 13 points, and Steve Francis had 12. Channing Frye and Jackie Butler added 11 points apiece.

San Antonio took off on a 12-0 tear capped by a Duncan layup with 6:47 remaining in the third quarter to make the score 77-56. It outscored New York 39-18 in the stanza to take a 100-70 lead into the fourth, during which the Knicks outscored San Antonio by only two points.

After a 10-4 spurt down the first-quarter stretch, the Spurs led 36-23 heading into the second.

New York got itself back into the game after an 11-2 run snapped by a Parker jumper with 3:20 left in the stanza to make the score 53-44. The Spurs led 61-52 at halftime.

The Spurs recorded 31 assists compared to just 12 by New York.

With Finley's impressive contribution, the Spurs were 11-for-23 (47.8 percent) beyond the arc, compared to just 1-for-3 (33.3 percent) by New York.

San Antonio is 2-0 on its current four-game homestand after defeating the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. San Antonio has won five in a row at home and is 24-3 as the host this season.

New York is 0-2 on a brief three-game road swing. It has dropped 11 straight on the road and fell to 4-24 away from Madison Square Garden this season.

"We just didn't play well tonight at all," Knicks guard Stephon Marbury said. "We haven't played well much at all as of late. That's frustrating. They pretty much did whatever they wanted to in the second half."
