Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Ricky Davis led six Boston players in double figures with 20 points as the Celtics routed the Los Angeles Clippers, 111-92, at Staples Center.
Paul Pierce scored 19 points and Marcus Banks netted 14 off the bench for the Celtics, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Al Jefferson and Raef LaFrentz both had 13 points, while Delonte West recorded 12 points.
"We passed the ball well and kept the turnovers down," Pierce said. "We were able to keep Elton Brand from scoring a lot. That was the key. It was a good win. Hopefully we got the monkey off our back."
Brand had 11 points in the loss.
Cuttino Mobley registered a season-high 27 points and Sam Cassell contributed 24 points, but the Clippers suffered their second straight loss and seventh in nine games.
The score was knotted at 31-31 after the first quarter, but the Celtics outscored LA by a 33-15 margin in the second quarter for a 64-46 halftime advantage.
Los Angeles pulled within 89-76 after 36 minutes of action thanks to a 12- point effort by Mobley.
The fans began heading for the exits after Boston made it 103-83 with about three minutes to go in the contest.
Boston has won the last three meetings against the Clippers.
