NBA Game Summary - Golden State at LA Clippers

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Cuttino Mobley had 22 points and a season- high nine assists as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Golden State Warriors, 105-92, at the Staples Center.
Sam Cassell scored 21 points and Chris Kaman netted 17 and pulled down 15 boards for the Clippers, who snapped a two-game losing streak and have won four of their last six contests. Chris Wilcox contributed a season-high 16 points.
Los Angeles won the physical battle by outrebounding Golden State 49-27 and scoring 54 points in the paint.
"We did a great job controlling the boards, overall defensively we did really well," said Los Angeles coach Mike Dunleavy.
Jason Richardson led the Warriors with 23 points, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, and Baron Davis added 22 for the Warriors, who had a two-game winning streak snapped and have lost six of their last eight games.
The Clippers opened the third quarter with a 13-6 spurt, highlighted by Quinton Ross' three-point play with 5:41 remaining, to make the score 76-58. The Clippers led 83-71 heading into the final frame.
Los Angeles used a 12-0 streak to begin the period, capped by Mobley's fadeaway, which gave the Clippers their largest lead with under nine minutes to play.
The Warriors fought their way back into the game with a 16-2 run, including seven points from Richardson and a trey from Davis, to cut the deficit to 97-87. However, they could get no closer than 10 points as Los Angeles brought its starters back in the game in the final minutes.
With Golden State leading 23-21, the Clippers reeled off a 16-4 spurt, capped by Wilcox's reverse layup, to close the first quarter. Los Angeles scored 22 points in the paint and led 37-27 after 12 minutes of play.
The Warriors cut the lead to 54-45 with a 9-4 streak, including treys from Fisher and Troy Murphy. However, Los Angeles countered with a 9-2 rally capped by Mobley's running jumper with under two minutes left in the half. Golden State scored the final five points of the quarter to narrow the gap to 63-52 after two periods.
