NBA Game Summary - Seattle at Houston

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Yao Ming posted 29 points and 10 rebounds as Houston routed Seattle, 115-87, at the Toyota Center.
Stromile Swift and Richie Frahm came off the bench to score 16 points apiece for the Rockets, who have won two of three. Luther Head scored 14 points, while Juwan Howard had 13. Rafer Alston scored 10 points and dished eight assists.
"Collectively, I think this inspires us to go out there and finish up strong and really not give it up," Swift said. "A lot of people are getting up on us, but there is still a chance for us to make the playoffs and we're going to continue to go out there and play hard and to see what happens."
Earl Watson scored 20 points for the SuperSonics, who had a two-game winning streak snapped. Chris Wilcox scored 16 points, while Mike Wilks had 12. Damien Wilkins scored 11 points, and Ray Allen shot just 1-of-13 from the field for 10 points.
Seattle outscored Houston by four points in the second half, but failed to overcome a 32-point halftime deficit.
"We weren't focused from the beginning and Houston kept the pedal on us all game," Wilks said. "You have to forget this game and learn what we did wrong and put it behind us and bounce back against the Lakers."
Houston opened the game on a 9-0 tear capped by a Howard jumper with 9:30 left, and closed the first quarter on a 7-0 spurt sparked by an Alston layup with 3:39 left. The Rockets led 29-10 heading into the second quarter.
Houston went on a 15-2 run, capped by a reverse layup by Yao, down the stretch of the second quarter with 2:50 remaining for a 56-25 lead, and led 64-32 at halftime.
Houston led 91-62 heading into the final stanza.
Houston played the middle contest of a three-game homestand. The Rockets are 14-23 at home this season.
They snapped a five-game losing streak at the Toyota Center. Houston is scheduled to host the Washington Wizards on Friday in the finale of the current stand.
Seattle played the second of a brief two-game road trip. It hosts the LA Lakers on Friday in the opener of a three-game homestand.
This was the third meeting of the season between the squads. The Rockets won the two previous contests, as they defeated the SuperSonics on December 15th at KeyArena and on February 3rd at the Toyota Center...The Rockets have won six straight and seven of the last eight meetings in this series. Seattle has lost three straight and seven of its last 11 at Houston...The Sonics are scheduled to host the Rockets on April 4th at KeyArena in the fourth and final contest of the season between the clubs.
