NBA Game Summary - Seattle at Memphis

Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Ray Allen's jumper with .3 seconds left in the game, gave the Seattle SuperSonics a 98-97 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum.
Allen finished with 20 points as seven different Seattle players reached double figures. Rashard Lewis had 14 points and seven rebounds while Earl Watson had 13 points and six assists for the SuperSonics, who have won two straight. Lewis left the game late in the fourth quarter after suffering a leg injury.
Pau Gasol scored a career-high 44 points for the Grizzlies, who saw a season- high seven-game winning streak come to a halt. Eddie Jones had 16 points while Mike Miller had 11.
Trailing by three points in the fourth quarter, the Grizzlies rattled off seven straight points to take a 93-89 lead with 3:15 remaining.
A jumper by Johan Petro pulled Seattle to within two points, but Gasol answered at the other end with two from the line for a 95-91 lead. With 1:31 to play, Petro hit a running jumper in the lane, but once again the Grizzlies answered, as Miller hit a running jumper of his own to make it a 97-93 game.
After a Seattle timeout, Allen drained a three-pointer from the top of the key to make it a one-point contest with 41 seconds showing on the clock. The SuperSonics then played strong perimeter defense, forcing the Grizzlies to turn the ball over with 16 seconds left due to a shot clock violation.
Coming out of a timeout, Allen controlled the ball up high and penetrated inside off the left wing, throwing up a fade away jumper that hit off the backboard and rattled around the rim and in with only .3 seconds left.
On the following play, Lorenzen Wright's inbounds pass hit off the rim as the buzzer sounded.
Despite Gasol's 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field in the opening period, the Grizzlies trailed 28-27 at the end of the first quarter.
The SuperSonics outscored Memphis 31-22 in the second stanza to take a 59-49 lead into halftime. Allen had 12 points while Lewis added 10.
The third quarter belonged to the Grizzlies, who outscored Seattle 31-17 to take an 80-76 advantage into the final frame.
SuperSonics have won six of their last nine games overall...Luke Ridnour and Chris Wilcox each had 11 points for Seattle while Petro finished with 15 and Mikki Moore had 10 off the bench...The SuperSonics defeated Memphis for the first time in three meetings this season...The Grizzlies dropped to 25-11 at home this season and saw their six-game win streak at home come to an end...Gasol shot 17-of-28 from the field and had nine rebounds.
