Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Carlos Boozer had 21 points and eight boards, and Deron Williams had 20 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead the Utah Jazz to a 104-80 thumping of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets at the Delta Center.

Mehmet Okur added 18 points and Matt Harpring had 15 points and 11 boards for the Jazz, who ended a two-game slide. Andrei Kirilenko tallied 13 points, with eight assists and six boards for Utah, which had all five starters score in double-figures.

The Utah bench scored just 17 points, as the club pulled within two games of the Sacramento Kings for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Rasual Butler had 15 points for the Hornets, who have dropped four in a row. Rookie Chris Paul was held to just 11 points, but had seven assists, as his club fell to 0-3 on a four-game road trip.

Leading 55-52 at halftime and 64-60 midway through the third, the Jazz began to pull away heading into the fourth. Utah scored 20 of the final 28 points of the third to build an 84-68 lead through 36 minutes.

Boozer and Okur combined for 10 of the 20 points for the Jazz during the run, which built a big enough lead to allow the team to cruise through the final 12 minutes.

Speedy Claxton had 13 points for the Hornets, who have dropped 12 of 13 overall and fell 2 1/2 games behind the Kings for the final playoff spot.

The Hornets led 31-27 after one quarter.

Game Notes

Utah improved to 18-18 at home this season...NO/Okla. City fell to 12-22 on the road...Utah shot 56.1 percent from the field for the game compared to 41.1 percent for the Hornets...The Jazz have won four of six and five of the last eight against the Hornets.
