NBA Game Summary - Philadelphia at Boston

Boston, MA (Sports Network) - Paul Pierce recorded 32 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Boston Celtics past the Philadelphia 76ers, 110-103, at TD Banknorth Garden.

Ricky Davis chipped in 26 points, while Kendrick Perkins contributed 12 points and a game-best 19 boards for the Celtics, who have won two of their last three games.

Allen Iverson netted a game-high 40 points and Chris Webber added 28, as the 76ers dropped their third game in four tries. Samuel Dalembert finished with eight points and 11 rebounds in a losing effort.

Webber gave the Sixers an 87-86 advantage on a jump shot with less than seven minutes to go in the game, but Boston scored five straight to claim a 91-87 lead.

Boston never relinquished the lead after that and cruised to its fifth win in eight games versus the 76ers.

Pierce's layup with five minutes left in the first quarter staked Boston to a 19-13 advantage. The Sixers, though, battled back and trimmed the deficit to 28-25 after 12 minutes of action.

Dalembert's jumper in the paint midway through the second quarter tied the game at 39 apiece, but the Celtics later grabbed a 49-44 edge on a three- pointer by Delonte West.

Boston then headed to the intermission with a slim 51-50 lead. Iverson led all scorers with 20 points, while Pierce paced Boston with 13 points at halftime.

Kyle Korver's three-pointer early in the third quarter gave Philadelphia a 59-56 lead. The remainder of the stanza was tightly contested with Boston clinging to a 78-76 lead after 36 minutes of play.

The Celtics outscored Philadelphia by a 27-26 margin in the third quarter.

Perkins' points and rebounds were a career high...The Sixers had won seven of their last 10 trips to Boston entering Wednesday's game...Boston had a 59-40 advantage on the boards...Iverson was 11-of-27 shooting and made 16-of-18 from the charity stripe...Pierce was 12-of-21 shooting...The Celtics had 62 points in the paint to 48 for the 76ers.
