NBA Game Summary - Golden State at Utah

(Friday, November 25th)

Final Score: Golden State 94, Utah 90

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Jason Richardson scored 29 points as the Golden State Warriors recovered from a large first-half deficit to beat the Utah Jazz 94-90 at the Delta Center.

Baron Davis added 13 points and 10 assists, while Mike Dunleavy led three Warriors with 11 points in the victory. Golden State has won two of its last three games.

Deron Williams tallied a career-high 24 points and dished out seven assists for the Jazz, who had their two-game winning streak snapped.

Matt Harpring had 21 points for Utah, while Mehmet Okur was held to eight points on 2-of-8 shooting.

The Jazz scored the first two buckets of the fourth quarter to lead 71-64, but the game became tight in the final two minutes.

Trailing 86-79, Dunleavy made two free throws and Davis converted a slam to trim the lead to three. The Warriors, who trailed by 18 at one point, came all the way back when Dunleavy, a 17.8 percent three-point shooter for the season entering the game, buried a trey from the right wing with just over a minute remaining.

A Devin Brown jumper gave Utah the lead back at 88-86, then Richardson buried a deep three-pointer from the left wing to give the Warriors their first lead since early in the first quarter.

Two Milt Palacio free throws gave the Jazz a 90-89 lead, then veteran Derek Fisher stepped up and hit the biggest shot of the night.

His three-pointer off a dish from Dunleavy gave Golden State a 92-90 lead with 24 seconds left. Williams missed an open jumper on the other end that would have tied the game, and Richardson made two free throws to seal the comeback victory.

The Jazz jumped out to a 27-11 cushion with just over four minutes left in the opening quarter. Williams contributed nine points during the quick start, including a driving lay-in with 3:59 left in the period that increased the lead to 16 and forced a Warriors' timeout.

After trimming the deficit to nine, 29-20, after one quarter, the Warriors went cold from the floor again. Utah capitalized with an 11-2 spurt to take a 40-22 lead. Williams hit a rainbow three-pointer, then a jumper just inside the arc to fuel the surge.

Golden State methodically trimmed the lead to 51-40 at the half. Harpring and Williams combined for 29 of Utah's first-half points, while Richardson led the Warriors with 12 points in the opening 24 minutes.

The Jazz held a 67-64 advantage entering the fourth quarter.
