NBA Game Summary - Orlando at Dallas

Dallas, TX (Sports Network) - Dirk Nowitzki tallied 31 points, including 20 in the fourth quarter and overtime, as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Orlando Magic, 109-103, at American Airlines Center.
Josh Howard poured in 24 points and Jason Terry contributed 22 points for Dallas, which has won seven of its last eight games.
Devin Harris scored 18 points off the bench in the victory.
Grant Hill scored 28 points in his second game back with the Magic after missing the first 19 games of the season with a sports hernia injury, while Hedo Turkoglu scored 17 points off the bench in defeat.
"I felt good," said Hill. "I got into a pretty good rhythm. We played a very good team well."
Steve Francis tallied 16 points, Jameer Nelson donated 14 points and DeShawn Stevenson and Dwight Howard scored 10 points apiece for Orlando, which had its two-game winning streak snapped.
Howard also had 10 rebounds and five blocks in defeat.
The Magic scored seven straight points late in the fourth to get within one.
Hill converted a layup, then Turkoglu's straight-on three-pointer got Orlando within 91-88 with about three minutes to go. Moments later, Hill drained two free throws to trim the lead to one.
Terry was fouled while shooting a long jump shot with 1:20 to play and made both from the charity stripe, but Hill converted a three-point play to tie the game at 93-93 with just over a minute remaining.
The Duke product had a chance to be a hero, but his jumper with 25 seconds to play hit the back rim. Nowitzki then missed a jump shot at the buzzer and the game went to an extra session.
The teams traded points on six straight possessions to start overtime, then Harris made a jumper and a layup to give Dallas a 103-99 lead.
Orlando trimmed the lead to 103-101 on Hill's two free throws, but after two Nowitzki free throws, Hill missed a jumper with just over 20 seconds left.
Dallas made its free throws down the stretch to seal the win.
"It was a very gutsy win for us tonight, definitely a team effort tonight," said Terry. "We've been playing tough, close ball games, but we've been gutting them out. I like what we are doing."
The Mavericks had a double-digit lead during the first period and ended the stanza with a 26-21 lead.
The game was tied 48-48 at the half as Howard led all scorers with 16 first- half points. Hill led Orlando with 13 points.
Hill made a driving layup to give Orlando a 59-54 with just over seven minutes left in the third, but Dallas scored the next nine points, capped by Harris' layup, to put the Mavericks in front by four.
The Magic led 67-66 after three quarters.
Dallas is 9-3 at home this season...The home team has won 14 of the last 15 meetings, while Dallas has won five of the last six meetings...Orlando has lost eight straight games at Dallas...The Mavericks shot 50 percent from the floor, while Orlando shot 49.4 percent...Dallas held a 42-34 edge on the boards.
