NBA Game Summary - Milwaukee at Sacramento

(Friday, November 18th)

Final Score: Sacramento 103, Milwaukee 82

Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Peja Stojakovic led all five Kings starters in double figures with 19 points, as Sacramento defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 103-82, at ARCO Arena.

Mike Bibby scored 17 points while Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Brad Miller each contributed 16 points for the Kings, who have won three of their last four games.

Sacramento shot 51 percent from the floor and had 31 assists on 40 made field goals.

Joe Smith scored a season-high 21 points and Jamaal Magloire had 10 points and 14 rebounds for the Bucks, who have lost two of their last three games.

Milwaukee shot only 37 percent and committed 18 turnovers in the loss.

Both teams struggled from three-point range, with the Bucks connecting on 4- of-14, and the Kings making only 1-of-13 attempts.

Sacramento's defense and a hot-shooting third quarter helped increase a small halftime lead. The Kings started the third quarter 6-of-8 from the floor to open a 60-51 lead, and the advantage gradually grew larger.

Bibby hit a jumper on the move off an unselfish look from Kenny Thomas, then Abdur-Rahim connected on a mid-range jumper. Thomas then pulled up and made an 18-foot jump shot to give the Kings a 77-63 lead with 28 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

A Thomas' baby hook followed by long jumpers from Stojakovic and Bibby increased the lead to 83-68 just under two minutes into the fourth quarter.

A Ronnie Price slam in the closing minutes increased the lead to 22 and capped a second half in which the Kings held Milwaukee to 38 points.

Sacramento led 48-44 at the break, as Miller hit a three-pointer just before the buzzer after Milwaukee had cut a 12-point first-quarter deficit to just one.
