NBA Game Summary - Milwaukee at LA Clippers

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Sam Cassell had 23 points and nine assists to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a 109-85 rout of the Milwaukee Bucks at the Staples Center.
Elton Brand scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Clippers, who at 6-2 are off to their best start in franchise history. Corey Maggette added 21 points for Los Angeles, which led the entire way and was in front by as many as 31 points.
T.J. Ford and Michael Redd each tallied 15 points for the Bucks, who were limited to 39 percent shooting from the field and lost for the second time in three contests since starting the season with a three-game win streak.
"I really liked our effort tonight," Clippers head coach Mike Dunleavy said. "We played strong all night long. Our defense was really good. We liked the matchup with Cassell and Ford. It was a great showing."
The Clippers, who have beaten Milwaukee six straight times at home, used a big run in the second quarter to open a large advantage. Ahead 31-29 with 9:21 left until halftime, LA went on a 13-3 spurt. Brand capped the burst with a three-point play with 4:58 remaining in the second quarter, and the Clippers led 55-46 at the half.
A 10-2 spurt in the third quarter allowed the Clippers to extend to a 69-52 lead. Maggette hit five free throws and Cuttino Mobley's three-pointer capped the run with 6:04 left in the stanza.
LA held an 85-63 cushion going into the fourth and opened a 99-68 margin with 6:22 remaining on a Mobley three-pointer.
Daniel Ewing had 12 points and Mobley finished with 11 for the Clippers, who shot 47.9 percent from the floor. Cassell was especially sharp, going 9-of-12.
Maurice Williams and former Clipper Bobby Simmons each added 13 points for Milwaukee.
Clippers forward Quinton Ross left the game in the second quarter with back spasms...The Clippers are 3-0 at home...LA was 34-of-37 from the foul line.
