Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Raymond Felton scored a career-high 24 points, as the Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Seattle SuperSonics, 119-106.

"He has been very efficient," Bobcats head coach Bernie Bickerstaff said of Felton. "His shot selection has been much better and he's finishing going to the basket."

Melvin Ely and Jumaine Jones each recorded 23 points and Brevin Knight contributed 15 points. as Charlotte won back-to-back games for the first time since December 27 and 28. Felton also had nine assists, while Knight contributed nine assists, seven rebounds and six steals.

Ray Allen led the SuperSonics with 31 points and six rebounds. Rashard Lewis added 22 points and Luke Ridnour recorded 18 points and nine assists, as Seattle lost its third game in a row.

The Bobcats were never challenged by the SuperSonics, leading the game wire- to-wire. This marks the second consecutive game they have accomplished this feat. The Bobcats ended its franchise-worst 13-game losing streak with a 112-102 home victory over the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night.

After a Luke Ridnour free throw brought Seattle to within 10-7 early in the first quarter, the Bobcats outscored the SuperSonics 19-4 in just over four minutes to seize control of the game.

The Bobcats led 67-54 at the half and continued to widen their margin in the third, extending to a 97-72 cushion going into the fourth.

Charlotte recorded a number of season-highs against Seattle, including most points in a half (67) and field-goal percentage (56.6 percent).

The Sonics are struggling as of late, having lost their last three games by a combined total of 55 points. This marked the seventh consecutive game the SuperSonics have yielded 100 or more points.

"We fully expect to try to make the playoffs," said SuperSonics coach Bob Hill. "We're five games out of the loss column and we're in first place in our division. These are the kind of games we have to get."

The Bobcats scored 100 or more points for the second consecutive game after playing 11 straight without hitting the century mark once.

Game Notes

Ely's 23 points were a career-high...Seattle forward Vladimir Radmanovic missed the game due to a sore hip. Nick Collison replaced Radmanovic in Seattle's starting lineup, recording eight points and three rebounds...Bernard Robinson scored 16 points off the bench for Charlotte.
