Final Score: New Jersey 95, LA Clippers 78
East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Vince Carter poured in 31 points, Nenad Krstic added 17 and New Jersey routed the Los Angeles Clippers, 95-78, at the Continental Airlines Arena.
Brian Scalabrine scored 12 points and Jacque Vaughn added 10 for the Nets, who are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings -- 1 1/2 games behind Philadelphia for the eighth spot and a half-game back of ninth place Orlando. The Sixers lost to Phoenix, while the Magic defeated Toronto.
Jason Kidd was limited to eight points but handed out a game-high 13 assists for New Jersey, which has won two straight and five of seven.

Corey Maggette paced the Clippers with 17 points. Rick Brunson came off the pine to net 13 points for the Los Angeles, which has lost three straight.
"We made bad decisions and had horrible turnovers," said Clippers head coach Mike Dunleavy. "It was a poor effort. We couldn't get (Vince) Carter stopped."
New Jersey, which led 28-25 after the opening quarter, started to gain some breathing room in the second. The Nets started the frame on a 13-4 run capped by Travis Best's jumper which staked the home team to a 41-29 lead with 6:48 remaining in the first half.
The Nets' cushion would grow to 14, 52-38, heading into the locker room. Carter paced all players with 20 points for the Nets, while Brunson netted 11 points to lead the Clippers at the break.
"We tried to get some easy baskets," said Carter.
Los Angeles fought back and trimmed the deficit to 59-50 on Maggette's jumper in the early stages of the third. However, the Nets would eventually pull away for good midway through the frame on Kidd's trey from the top of the key, making it 69-54 with 6:12 left in the stanza.
New Jersey's margin would balloon to 83-63 heading into the fourth. The Clippers never threatened in the fourth en route to the 17-point setback.
