NBA Game Summary - Sacramento at Golden State

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Jason Richardson posted 40 points, 10 rebounds and five assists as the Golden State Warriors downed the Sacramento Kings, 100-97, at the Arena.
Baron Davis added 15 points and 10 assists and Troy Murphy grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds for the Warriors, who won for just the second time in five contests. Derek Fisher netted 10 points to round out double-figure scorers for Golden State.
Cuttino Mobley finished with 28 points and nine boards and Peja Stojakovic added 18 points and seven assists for the Kings, who lost for the second time in six games.
Kenny Thomas recorded 16 points and 10 boards in the loss, while Brian Skinner chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Warriors held a slim 80-79 advantage heading into the fourth quarter and the game remained tight until the final buzzer.
Golden State held a 97-93 edge after Davis made a pair of free throws with 1:30 left. However, Thomas evened the score after making two from the line with 1:17 remaining and a jumper with 41 ticks left. Richardson answered with a long jumper to give the Warriors a two-point edge with 28 seconds left and that would be all Golden State would need.
After a Sacramento miss, Murphy made 1-of-2 from the line to push the lead to 100-97 with 12.1 seconds left and Mike Bibby and Stojakovic both missed on three-point attempts to spoil Sacramento's hopes.
Golden State held a nine-point edge at halftime, but the Kings were able to slice into that in the third quarter.
The Kings took their first lead of the game on Mobley's baseline jumper with 59 seconds left in the third quarter. Mobley would drill a three-pointer to push Sacramento's edge to 79-77 with 29 seconds left, but Richardson answered with a trey of his own to give Golden State a one-point lead after three quarters.
The Warriors jumped out to a 18-7 cushion in the first quarter and held a 34-23 lead by the time the opening period was over. Richardson was on fire in the first 12 minutes for Golden State, tallying 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting in the quarter.
Golden State would lead by as many as 21 points in the second quarter, but Sacramento cut the deficit to 57-48 by halftime.
Richardson led all scorers with 19 points at the half and Stojakovic paced Sacramento with 12.
Mobley made 6-of-7 three-point attempts for Sacramento, which made a season best 13 from beyond the arc...Davis notched his first double-double since coming over in a trade with New Orleans last month...Bibby ended with 11 points and eight assists...Golden State center Adonal Foyle played in his 500th game as a Warrior. He is just the 15th player in franchise history to reach that mark.
