NBA Game Summary - Utah at Cleveland

(Tuesday, March 15th)

Final Score: Cleveland 92, Utah 73

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - LeBron James poured in 36 points despite sitting out the final 10 minutes of the game, and the Cleveland Cavaliers rolled to a 92-73 victory over Utah at Gund Arena.

James was 11-of-15 from the field and 12-of-16 on free throws for the Cavaliers, who have won three straight games. Jeff McInnis added 12 points, while drew Gooden and Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 10 apiece in the win.

Andrei Kirilenko collected 14 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots to lead the Jazz, who have dropped six in a row and two straight to begin their five-game road trip.

Injured Utah forward Carlos Boozer, who spurned the Cavs to sign a free agent contract with the Jazz in the offseason, remained home to receive physical therapy for the sprained right ankle that is expected to keep him on the injured list for two more weeks.

In lieu of booing him in person, the jilted Cleveland crowd instead booed Boozer's picture on the arena's Jumbotron -- where it appeared every time a Utah player attempted free throws.

But the home fans enjoyed more than just the good-natured ribbing. They also got to see a dominant performance by their team.

James scored 26 in the first half, and Cleveland led by as many as 20 points on the way to a 50-32 lead at intermission.

The Cavaliers took control of the game with a 13-0 run to open the second quarter. James scored 11 points during the surge, and his three-pointer just inside the 9:00 mark gave Cleveland a 39-23 lead.

Ben Handlogten scored at the other end to get Utah within 14 points, but the Jazz would be no closer the rest of the game. They were only within 15 in the third quarter, and never closer than 17 in the fourth.

Cleveland's lead reached as high as 25 points near the end of the third quarter when James' alley-oop dunk made it 70-45.

James was came out of the game with 10:19 remaining in the fourth quarter. He has now scored 30 or more points 15 times this season after doing it a total of 13 times last season.
