NBA Game Summary - Houston at Seattle

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) - Tracy McGrady had 38 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Houston Rockets over the Seattle SuperSonics, 90-78, at KeyArena.
Yao Ming added 20 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks for the Rockets, who have won three straight and continue to lead Denver by one-half game for the sixth spot in the Western Conference playoff race.
McGrady shot 14-of-26 from the floor and Yao hit 12-of-13 free throws, as Houston drew to within one game of the Sacramento Kings for the fifth spot with just four games remaining for both clubs. Denver, which beat Golden State on Monday, has a game in hand over the Rockets and Kings.
Ray Allen had 18 points to lead the Sonics, who have lost a season-worst five straight games. Ronald Murray added 15 points for Seattle, which is comfortably in front in the Pacific Division and is trying to find its way to the postseason as the three seed.
With the game tied at 37-37 coming out of halftime, the Rockets scored five straight points to take a 42-37 edge. Later, three straight free throws by Yao Ming extended Houston's lead to 47-40 with four minutes elapsed in the stanza.
Houston increased the cushion by one point, 71-63, heading into the fourth.
Seattle cut the deficit to 71-70 with 4 1/2 minutes gone in the stanza, courtesy of a 7-0 run that was capped by an Allen driving layup.
However, the Rockets put the game away when they went on a 15-4 run over the next 5 1/2 minutes. McGrady had six points and Jon Barry five during the burst, which was capped by a Barry jumper that gave Houston an 86-74 lead with 1:31 left.
"We gave up a 34-point quarter," said Seattle head coach Nate McMillian of his team's third-quarter collapse. "I thought they made some tough shots. I thought our shot selection led to some easy opportunities for them. We took some shots that were out of character."
Barry had 10 points for the Rockets, who have won two of three versus the Sonics this season.
Seattle played without Rashard Lewis, Vladimir Radmanovic and Danny Fortson. All three players are nursing injuries.
Houston improved to 7-1 in Monday games this season...Seattle has lost three of four at home...The Rockets have won three of four versus the Sonics...The road team has won six straight in this series.
