Final Score: San Antonio 101, Utah 94

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Manu Ginobili finished with a game-high 31 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, while Bruce Bowen added 18 points as San Antonio defeated Utah, 101-94, at the SBC Center.

Tony Parker added 14 for San Antonio, which won despite losing All-Star center Tim Duncan to an ankle injury. Duncan left the contest at the 8:12 mark of the third quarter when he went up to block a shot, but landed awkwardly on teammate Rasho Nesterovic's foot.

Duncan needed some assistance from his teammates as he tried to walk off the court. He headed into the locker room and the diagnosis was a sprained right ankle. He ended with 12 points in 23 minutes for the Spurs, who won their fourth straight.

Keith McLeod paced the Jazz with 18 points. Raja Bell added 17 and Andrei Kirilenko chipped in 16 points for the Jazz, who have dropped two in a row after a three-game winning streak.

San Antonio led 27-20 after one quarter of play. The Spurs looked to gain some breathing room in the opening stages of the second quarter. San Antonio used an 11-4 spurt, capped by Devin Brown's layup that staked the home team to a comfortable 38-24 lead with around seven minutes left in the first half.

However, Utah fought back and trimmed the deficit to 48-40 on Bell's trey with under three minutes to go in the stanza.

The Jazz continued to chip away and the margin and sliced the deficit in half, 54-50, by the time both teams headed into the locker room.

The third quarter was tightly contested as San Antonio held a 73-72 lead after 36 minutes of action.

However, the Spurs gained some breathing room in the fourth. Beno Uldrih's jumper pushed the lead to 83-74 with around 10 minutes to go. Utah, though, proved pesky and cut the deficit to three, 86-83, on Kirilenko's jumper with under six minutes remaining in the contest.

Utah continued to hang around, getting within a 93-91 score when Bell drained two free throws with around a minute to go.

Bell then missed at the other end and Ginobili grabbed the rebound and was fouled. He sank both foul shots and Parker followed with two more from the line, making it 97-91 with 30.5 seconds left.

Kirilenko would then sink a three with 10 seconds to play, but Ginobili would convert 4-of-4 from the line for the final margin.
