NBA Game Summary - LA Clippers at Atlanta

Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Elton Brand poured in a game-high 33 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Los Angeles Clippers easily defeated Atlanta, 111-91, at Philips Arena.
Corey Maggette scored 25 and Chris Wilcox added 22 for LA, which snapped a four-game skid. Marko Jaric ended with 14 points, while Shaun Livingston dished out 10 assists in the win.
"Guys were feeding me the ball, so I could do something with it," Brand said. "We've been struggling on the road, so we didn't know what to expect. We knew we had to come in and play well, play hard."
Josh Childress led the way for Atlanta with 23 points. Predrag Drobnjak chipped in 13 points as the Hawks lost their 12th straight. Donta Smith tallied 10 points in the losing effort.
"We're not playing," Hawks head coach Mike Woodson said. "These last two games have been unacceptable. We're just not playing."
The Clippers controlled the contest from the opening tip. With 4:26 left in the first frame, Jaric put LA up 16-9 on his two-point bucket, while Brand added to the lead moments later when his jumper made it 20-11.
LA led 30-22 after the first 12 minutes and carried a 54-44 advantage into the break.
The Clippers put the game out of reach in the third quarter. Maggette scored the first seven points of the frame, giving LA a 61-44 lead.
Childress pulled Atlanta within 65-53 on his jumper with 7:48 to play in the stanza, but the Clippers continued to pull away and garnered a 76-55 cushion, after a pair of free throws by Wilcox.
Trailing 88-67, the Hawks started the final frame with a 15-3 run to get within nine. Drobnjak ignited the burst with his trey at the 11 minute mark and finished with six points in the flurry as Atlanta trailed 91-82.
LA answered with nine straight points to erase any comeback effort the Hawks may have had left.
The Clippers played only nine players. They won both contests against the Hawks this season...Atlanta has lost 12 of its last 14 home games...LA went 43-of-75 (57 percent) from the floor and hit 22-of-27 from the charity stripe...The Hawks shot 43 percent and hit just three three-pointers in the loss.
