NBA Game Summary - Golden State at Utah

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - Derek Fisher had 19 points to lead a balanced Golden State scoring attack as the Warriors snapped a 19-game road losing streak to Utah with a 108-91 victory at the Delta Center.

Jason Richardson added 18 points and reserves Mickael Pietrus and Zarko Cabarkapa scored 15 and 14, respectively, for the Warriors, who posted their fourth straight win overall and seventh triumph in eight games. Golden State, which last won in Salt Lake City on November 11, 1994, had seven players finish with double-figure points.

Gordan Giricek netted 17 points and Mehmet Okur scored 14 for the Jazz, who have dropped three in a row and 13 of 15. Matt Harpring compiled 13 points and 11 rebounds while Ben Handlogten amassed 12 points and 11 boards. Utah shot just 34.5 percent from the field on the evening.

Richardson, who picked up a pair of fouls in the game's opening two minutes and sat the remainder of the first quarter, poured in 12 points in the second and the Warriors outscored Utah 27-14 for the period to erase a four-point deficit.

Golden State trailed 29-25 after one quarter before beginning the second with a 13-2 run to take control. Richardson's short jumper with just over two minutes elapsed in the frame snapped a 30-30 tie and the visitors later extended the lead to 38-31 when Andris Biedrins made 1-of-2 foul shots at the 6:37 mark.

Back-to-back buckets by Giricek and Kris Humphries cut the Jazz's deficit to three, but the Warriors responded with nine straight points to take a commanding 47-35 lead with 3 1/2 minutes remaining before intermission.

Golden State went into the break with a 52-43 edge.

Utah pulled to within 55-48 on Okur's dunk with nine minutes left in the third quarter but would get no closer. The Warriors strung together a 16-2 run over the next four minutes to break open the contest.

Golden State carried a 78-61 lead into the fourth quarter and were up by as many as 25 during the final session. A three-pointer by Mike Dunleavy followed by two good free throws by Cabarkapa put the Warriors up 94-69 with 7:20 to play.

Game Notes

Golden State has now won five straight on the road for the first time since October 29-November 4, 1978...The Warriors' current four-game win streak is its best since December 22-29...Utah has now scored under 100 points in 19 of its last 21 contests. The Jazz are 9-40 when they fail to reach the century mark this season.
