NBA Game Summary - Utah at Minnesota

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Kevin Garnett scored 25 points with 14 rebounds, and Minnesota rallied from 16 points down for a 93-91 victory over Utah at the Target Center.
Sam Cassell added 16 points off the bench for the Timberwolves, who equaled a season-long streak by winning their fifth straight. Wally Szczerbiak and Fred Hoiberg collected 11 points apiece in the win.
Raul Lopez and Andrei Kirilenko scored 14 apiece to lead Utah, which has dropped five of its last seven.
"We had every chance to win the game today," Lopez said.
The Jazz led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter, but Minnesota scored on each of its last eight possessions in the period and pulled within 68-64 on Troy Hudson's fall-away jumper at the buzzer.
The trend continued early in the fourth, and the Timberwolves took their first lead of the game at 75-74 on Garnett's free throws with 8:00 remaining.
Two more Garnett free throws and a three-pointer by Cassell at 6:47 gave Minnesota an 80-74 advantage, its largest of the game.
Utah followed with an 11-3 run and went ahead 85-83 on Lopez's driving layup with 2:37 remaining, but the Timberwolves took the lead for good at 87-85 on an Eddie Griffin dunk less than a minute later.
"They hit us with daggers a couple of times, and that really gave them the momentum," said Utah's Matt Harpring.
Cassell extended the Minnesota advantage to 89-85 with a layup moments later, and after Lopez made 1-of-2 at the free throw line, Cassell's free throws sealed the win.
It was the largest comeback win of the season for the Timberwolves, who had just 36 points at halftime.
Utah shot 50 percent in the first quarter for a 22-13 lead heading into the second. The Timberwolves were just 4-of-17 (24 percent) shooting in the period.
The Jazz outscored Minnesota by one in the second quarter to carry a 46-36 lead into halftime. No player had more than nine points in the half.
Cassell was playing in just his second game after missing the previous 10 with a strained right hamstring...Kirilenko was playing for just the fourth time since missing nearly two months with a sprained right knee...Minnesota has won three straight in this series...The Timberwolves shot 40 percent for the game and the Jazz 46 percent.
