NBA Game Summary - Houston at San Antonio

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Tim Duncan scored 30 points with 11 rebounds, and the San Antonio Spurs used a big run in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 99-81 victory over the Houston Rockets.
Tony Parker added 22 points and Manu Ginobili scored 18 for the Spurs, who have won eight of their last 10 games overall and 16 straight at SBC Center.
Parker and Ginobili combined for 10 points during a 20-5 game-ending run for the Spurs, who had led by just three points with less than five minutes to play. Duncan added five points during the flurry, including a rare three- pointer with 1:18 to play.
Tracy McGrady scored 22 points on just 7-of-21 shooting to lead the Rockets, who have lost two straight after entering the All-Star break on an eight-game winning streak.
Yao Ming added 20 points in the loss, Juwan Howard scored 16 and David Wesley had 13.
The Spurs carried a 71-66 lead into the fourth quarter, and let their league- leading defense take control from there.
Houston managed only 15 points in the final period, with 10 of those points coming in the first seven minutes.
Ginobili's driving finger roll with 4:39 remaining kickstarted the San Antonio run, and Parker followed shortly with a pair of terrific plays over the next 1:19 -- a floater in the lane and a fast-break dunk set up by his steal.
Bruce Bowen's three-pointer from the corner with 2:14 remaining gave the Spurs a 94-79 lead, all but sealing the victory.
It was San Antonio's first win over Houston in three meetings this season.
Howard scored 12 points in the first half and Houston led by as many as seven on the way to a 45-42 edge at the break. Duncan had 14 first-half points to lead all players.
The Rockets opened up an eight-point lead early in the third quarter, but San Antonio scored seven straight after that to make it a one-point game. The teams played close for the remainder of the period and the Spurs carried a 71-66 lead into the fourth after Parker's layup with 1:03 remaining.
Duncan entered the game with just 20 career three-pointers in eight seasons...The Spurs, who lead the NBA in blocked shots per game, turned away nine in this one...San Antonio had won seven straight over the Rockets before dropping its first two against them this season.
