NBA Game Summary - Indiana at Orlando

(Tuesday, February 22nd)

Final Score: Indiana 108, Orlando 84

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Jermaine O'Neal scored 20 points and Fred Jones added 18 off the bench, leading the Indiana Pacers to a 108-84 victory over Orlando at TD Waterhouse Centre.

Stephen Jackson chipped in 13 points and Jamaal Tinsley scored all 11 of his during a key 22-0 run, as the Pacers picked up their third straight win and snapped a two-game losing streak to the Magic this season.

Tinsley had missed eight consecutive games before the All-Star break with a bruised left foot.

"I don't think he's 100 percent, obviously, but he's giving us what he can give us," said Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle.

Rookie point guard Jameer Nelson split time with a struggling Steve Francis and scored 15 points to lead the Magic, who had a two-game win streak snapped. Francis was just 2-of-10 from the field for six points in 29 minutes.

"I thought Jameer came in and did a solid job for us," said Magic head coach Johnny Davis. "When he plays like he played tonight, it's very easy to keep him in the game."

Grant Hill added 14 points and Hedo Turkoglu scored 13 in the loss.

The Pacers trailed 36-35 with 4 1/2 minutes remaining in the first half, but they scored 17 straight points to end the half and take control of the game. Jeff Foster's tip-in at the buzzer capped the burst and gave Indiana its 52-36 halftime lead.

The 17-0 surge turned into a 22-0 run after the Pacers opened the third quarter with five straight points to make it a 21-point game.

The Magic would never recover.

Indiana led by as many as 29 points in the third before carrying an 81-57 advantage into the fourth. The lead reached as high as 31 before the end of the game.
