NBA Game Summary - Denver at Charlotte

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Kareem Rush posted 14 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and Keith Bogans finished with 18 points, as the Bobcats grabbed a 94-88 victory over the Denver Nuggets at Charlotte Coliseum.
Melvin Ely posted 15 points for the Bobcats, who halted a seven-game losing streak and won for just the third time in 21 games. Brevin Knight added 11 points in the victory, while Primoz Brezec notched 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 21 points for the Nuggets, who ended their five-game road trip with a 2-3 record. Kenyon Martin registered 17 points, Earl Boykins chipped in 16 and Marcus Camby ended with 12 points and 13 boards in the loss.
The Bobcats trailed by one at halftime, but their 16-5 stretch to begin the third quarter gave them a 65-55 cushion with 8:07 remaining. Denver came right back with seven straight points, but Charlotte finished the quarter with a flourish to carry an 82-69 lead into the final 12 minutes.
Denver used a 13-2 explosion to start the fourth quarter and make it a two- point game. Andre Miller's jumper with 10:42 left started the run and Anthony's three-point play cut the score to 84-82 with 4:50 remaining.
Consecutive layups by Gerald Wallace and Brezec pushed Charlotte's lead up to 88-82 with 2:36 left, but Boykins responded with a jumper at the 1:42 mark. However, Rush made the big basket, drilling a three-pointer with 1:00 left to make it 91-84. Denver wasn't able to seriously threaten after that.
The opening half was tight throughout with no team holding larger than a five- point lead. Charlotte held a 25-23 advantage after the first quarter, but the Nuggets would carry a 50-49 edge into the locker room at halftime.
Ely led all scorers with 15 points at the break, while Anthony paced Denver with 12.
Denver guard Greg Buckner missed the game with a left foot strain, while Bobcats guard Steve Smith sat out with flu-like symptoms...Charlotte ended a three-game losing streak at home...Wallace posted a 13 rebounds for the Bobcats.
