NBA Game Summary - Detroit at Philadelphia

(Wednesday, February 16th)

Final Score: Detroit 93, Philadelphia 75

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton both scored 20 points to lead the Detroit Pistons past the Philadelphia 76ers, 93-75, at the Wachovia Center.

Tayshaun Prince chipped in 15 points and Rasheed Wallace added 13 and 11 rebounds for the Pistons, who have won four straight games and nine of their last 10.

Allen Iverson paced the 76ers with a game-high 23 points. Corliss Williamson scored 14 points as Philadelphia saw its three-game winning streak vanish.

"They always play good defense," Iverson said of the Pistons. "That's a world championship team."

The Sixers were not much of a factor in the first quarter and trailed by a 28-13 score after 12 minutes of play. Detroit continued to pour it on in the second quarter and headed to the locker room ahead 48-35. Hamilton paced the Pistons with 13 points at the break, while Iverson had 12 for the Sixers.

Philadelphia's lone bright spot of the second half was outscoring the Pistons 23-20 in the third quarter. The 76ers never mounted a serious comeback in the fourth quarter and suffered their fifth straight loss to Detroit.

"They're playing good basketball right now," Sixers head coach Jim O'Brien said of Detroit.
