Sacramento, CA (Sports Network) - Chris Webber had 36 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead the Sacramento Kings past the Los Angeles Clippers, 99-95.
Peja Stojakovic added 24 points for the Kings, who are winners of three straight and nine of 13. Cuttino Mobley made his debut for Sacramento after being acquired from the Magic. He had 13 points and tied a career high with four blocks.
"I just wanted to hustle," said Mobley of his debut with the Kings. "I was just trying to get loose balls. Anything we can get our hands on, we were trying to get. This crowd is beautiful."
Elton Brand had 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Chris Kaman had a career-high 23 points for the Clippers, who lost for the first time in three games.
A Bobby Simmons hoop gave the Clippers a 67-66 lead with three minutes left in the third quarter. But Mobley had seven points as the Kings ended the stanza on an 11-2 run to take a 77-69 advantage into the final 12 minutes.
A Kerry Kittles three-pointer pulled the Clippers within 83-82 with 6:15 remaining. But the Kings held on the rest of the way to register the victory.
The Kings controlled the first quarter, and took a 24-19 into the second stanza. A Brad Miller hoop with 5:16 left in the first half gave the Kings a 37-30 lead. But the Clippers closed the first half on an 18-10 run to take a 48-47 lead into the locker room.
Greg Ostertag (teeth) played just five minutes...The Kings, who are 15-4 at home this season, closed out a three-game homestand tonight... Sacramento has won six straight and 11 of the last 12 meetings in this series. The Kings have won 13 in a row and 17 of their last 18 home tilts versus the Clippers.
