NBA Game Summary - Portland at Memphis

Final Score: Memphis 88, Portland 82

Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Stromile Swift scored 23 points with eight rebounds, and Memphis overcame a fourth quarter deficit for an 88-82 victory over Portland at FedEx Forum.

Mike Miller added 22 points off the bench for the Grizzlies, and his three- pointer in the final minute sealed the win. Bonzi Wells collected 13 points and a game-high 14 rebounds for Memphis, which has won three straight and eight of its last 10 games.

Zach Randolph scored a game-high 26 points with 12 rebounds off the bench to lead the Trail Blazers, who have dropped two straight on the heels of a three- game winning streak. Ruben Patterson added 20 points in the loss, and Damon Stoudamire scored 16.

Portland led 69-64 after three quarters and went ahead by as many as seven points four times in the final period.

Memphis later used an 8-0 run to go ahead 78-77, and finally too the lead for good on a Brian Cardinal three-pointer that made it 83-80 with 2:58 remaining.

The Trail Blazers pulled within one on Patterson's free throws at the other end, but a Cardinal free throw and Miller's clutch three-pointer from the wing gave the Grizzlies a commanding 87-82 with just 29 seconds left to play.

The Blazers, who have now dropped six straight away from home, were beginning a four-game road trip. They outshot Memphis 42 percent to 36 percent, but saw the Grizzlies make four more three-pointers and hit six more free throws in the game.

Memphis' only lead in the first quarter came at 2-0, and Portland ended up carrying a 32-22 advantage into the fourth. That margin was trimmed to two points at halftime, and the Blazers headed to the locker room ahead 51-49.

Game Notes

Memphis defeated Portland, 101-82, on November 17 at the Rose Garden, and has now won four of the last five meetings...Blazers guard Nick Van Exel led all players with 11 assists.
