He hit the ensuing bonus attempt to extend the Grizzlies' advantage to 15 points.

Minnesota cut its deficit to nine points when Szcerbiak and Troy Hudson drained back-to-back threes at the front end of an 8-0 spurt which made the score 35-26 with seven minutes left in the half. The Timberwolves trailed by 10 when Memphis put together an 11-4 flurry, capped by Battier's three-pointer with 2:24 remaining before intermission, to go ahead 57-40.

The Grizzlies shot 7-of-11 from three-point range in the first half and went into the locker room with a 63-44 advantage.

Memphis continued to pour it on in the third quarter, as Battier scored the final five points of an 11-2 run which put the hosts ahead 86-58 with under two minutes left in the period. The Grizzlies entered the final stanza with a commanding 90-65 lead.

Memphis was up 106-88 with under two minutes to go before an 8-2 Minnesota spurt, with six points coming from Sprewell, accounted for the final margin.
