Final Score: Phoenix 114, New York 106

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Amare Stoudemire had 32 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Phoenix Suns to a 114-106 victory over the New York Knicks.

Steve Nash added 26 points and 14 assists for the Suns, who have won two straight and seven of eight.

"We played extremely well in the fourth to close it out," Stoudemire said. "In the fourth, we outran them, outscored them and outrebounded them."

Phoenix led this game 68-62 with 6 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter, before the Knicks rattled off a 13-5 run to creep ahead 75-73. New York would take an 81-79 advantage into the final 12 minutes.

But Stoudemire and Shawn Marion each had four points during an 11-0 run that put the Suns ahead 90-81 with 8:05 left in the game. The Knicks were held scoreless for almost five minutes of the fourth quarter, before a Marbury field goal with 7:10 left. The Knicks never got close than five points the rest of the way.

"We had to pick up our intensity," Marion said. "We just got a little more aggressive. In the fourth quarter, we got some loose balls, it started going our way and we opened up the game a little."

The first quarter was a see-saw affair, with the Suns taking a 30-27 lead into the second quarter. Marbury had 12 of his points in the opening 12 minutes.

The Suns led by as many as five points during the second quarter, before New York regained the lead in the waning second of the first half and took a 53-52 lead into the intermission.

Marion added 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Suns.

Jamal Crawford added 15 points and Anfernee Hardaway chipped in with a dozen. Kurt Thomas had just four points, but grabbed 21 rebounds, including 16 on the defensive end.
