NBA Game Summary - New York at Denver

Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Kenyon Martin had a season-high 27 points and Carmelo Anthony added 19 points and seven boards as the Denver Nuggets cruised to a 96-76 win over the New York Knicks at the Pepsi Center.
Marcus Camby had 10 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks for Denver, which returned home from a five-game road trip to win for the third straight time.
Head coach George Karl improved to 3-0 with the Nuggets, who jumped on a lackluster Knicks team early and never allowed them back into the game.
"It was a solid win, but we need to play better basketball then that," said Karl. "We did some really good stuff defensively. When we make some plays we move the ball well."
Jamal Crawford had 20 points to lead the Knicks, who have dropped three straight and 14 of their last 16 outings. Stephon Marbury was held to only 10 points for New York, which continues to play like its sleep walking.
The Nuggets began to pull away in the second quarter. After leading 25-21 following the first 12 minutes of play, the Nuggets held a 35-29 advantage when they went on a 12-4 run to make it a double-digit lead. Anthony's three- point play with under 4 1/2 on the clock capped the run, giving Denver a 47-33 cushion.
New York would never get within single digits the rest of the way and Denver cruised to the final buzzer.
The Nuggets held a 57-45 lead at the break and extended the advantage in the second half. By the midway point of the third, the Nuggets led 67-50 and led 75-57 heading into the fourth, where the Knicks never threatened.
Martin single handedly outscored the Knicks in the third quarter 14-12.
Anfernee Hardaway had 15 points for the Knicks, who have lost seven straight on the road.
"Anytime you're on the road you need to take care of the basketball," said New York interim head coach Herb William of his club's 16 turnovers.
New York is winless through three games of its six-game road trip...The Knicks shot just 37 percent from the field...Denver went for 49 percent from the floor...Nene had nine points and 11 rebounds for the Nuggets...New York is 1-5 under Williams.
