Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Eddy Curry finished with 22 points and eight rebounds to lead Chicago to a 105-90 win over Orlando at the United Center.
Kirk Hinrich delivered 18 points and nine assists for the Bulls, who snapped a two-game losing streak. Ben Gordon also scored 18 points.
"We played hard and had a lot of energy," Chicago head coach Scott Skiles said. "We moved the ball well and got good looks at the basket."
Grant Hill notched a team-high 16 points for the Magic, who have lost five straight on the road and three in a row overall. Kelvin Cato returned from a shoulder injury and registered 13 points while Steve Francis added 12.
Down one midway through the first quarter, Chicago ended the first on a 21-10 burst. Andres Nocioni hit two foul shots with 32 seconds to go in the first to put the Bulls ahead 33-21.
Chicago started the second quarter on a 13-5 surge. Eric Piatkowski hit two foul shots less than five minutes into the second to put his team ahead 46-26.
Orlando trailed 60-37 at halftime.
Early in the third quarter, the Bulls extended their lead to 68-41. Chris Duhon's three-pointer 4:23 into the third capped their 8-4 flurry.
Chicago's edge ballooned to 82-49 on five straight points by Luol Deng with 2:52 to go in the quarter.
The Magic ended the third trailing 87-57. They got within 15 points in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter, but no closer.
Before the game, the Magic activated Cato from the injured list and placed forward Michael Bradley on it with a strained hamstring...Deng registered 15 points and seven rebounds for the Bulls, who improved to 7-8 at home this season...Dwight Howard posted 10 points and 12 boards for the Magic, who have lost five of the last 15 meetings in the series.
