Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Peja Stojakovic tied a season high with 29 points to lead Sacramento to a 98-93 win over Memphis at FedExForum.
Chris Webber finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Kings, who have won eight of their last nine games. Stojakovic made 10-of-16 shots from the floor, including 4-of-6 three-pointers.
Mike Miller -- who made his initial eight shots from the field -- scored a team-high 25 points for the Grizzlies, who have lost four straight overall and fell to 0-3 under interim head coach Lionel Hollins.
Pau Gasol notched 22 points and Earl Watson added 19 points and nine assists in his first start of the season for Memphis.
Sacramento used an 11-0 run to snap a 74-74 tie late in the third quarter. A dunk by Webber and a layup by Bobby Jackson in the final minute put the Kings ahead 85-74 at the end of the frame.
Jackson delivered the initial five points of the fourth quarter to put them ahead 83-74. A tip in by Greg Ostertag capped their 11-0 burst and opened an 85-74 edge less than three minutes into the fourth.
The Grizzlies then reeled off six straight points to trigger an 11-4 burst. Lorenzen Wright hit a jumper with 5:49 remaining to get them within 89-85.
But Sacramento scored five straight points. Webber converted two foul shots with less than five minutes left make it 94-85.
Memphis pulled within 94-93 on a foul shot by Gasol with 1:53 to play, but no closer.
Mike Bibby hit a shot with 43.3 seconds to go and Webber added a basket with 8.4 seconds left to secure the victory for the Kings.
"[Bibby] hit a huge shot," said Kings head coach Rick Adelman. "We couldn't get a rebound there for a while and we could not get anything going."
Neither team led by more than four points during a tightly contested first quarter until a three-pointer by Stojakovic put the Kings ahead 18-13 with 4:13 left.
Sacramento, which led 20-18 at the end of the first, opened the second quarter with an 11-4 run. Jackson hit a 16-foot jumper to make it 33-22 less than four minutes in.
The Grizzlies responded to go ahead 42-40. Watson capped their 20-7 flurry with four straight points, including a layup with 2:48 to go in the quarter.
However, the Kings led 49-46 at halftime. Stojakovic led all scorers with 21 points in the first half.
A layup by Bibby 1:11 into the third quarter staked Sacramento to a 53-46 edge.
Memphis responded by forcing a 74-74 tie on a three-pointer by Miller with 1:15 remaining before the start of the final stanza.
Brad Miller contributed 12 points before fouling out for the Kings, who have won three straight on the road...Bonzi Wells finished with 10 points for the Grizzlies, who have lost three straight at home...Bibby, who finished with seven points, failed to scored in double-digits for the first time in nine games for Sacramento.
