NBA Game Summary - Seattle at Memphis

Memphis, TN (Sports Network) - Rashard Lewis scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Seattle over Memphis, 93-84, at FedExForum.

Ray Allen added 20 points and five assists for the SuperSonics, who have won 11 of their last 12 games.

Seattle finished up its season-long six-game road trip during which it won five of six, including a 103-92 victory over Minnesota on Tuesday night.

Shane Battier tallied 12 for the Grizzlies, had won three straight at home. Bonzi Wells, Mike Miller and Lorenzen Wright added 10 points each in the losing effort.

"They are playing well right now, you have to give them their due," said Miller.

Memphis held a one-point edge early in the second half, but the Sonics responded with a 13-3 run and they led the rest of the way. Luke Ridnour capped off the burst on a three-pointer with 7:34 left in the third to give Seattle a 61-51 advantage.

At the end of 36 minutes, the Sonics maintained the same 10-point margin at 78-68 after posting a 33-point third.

"In the third quarter, they started shooting the ball well and we didn't," said Miller.

Memphis got as close as 80-78 in the fourth, but Seattle sealed the victory by responding with seven of the nest nine points to take an 87-80 advantage with less than four minutes to play.

The Grizzlies struggled from the floor all night, shooting just 39 percent.

Memphis never trailed in the opening quarter and carried a 26-20 edge into the second frame.

The Grizzlies held the lead during the entire second quarter. However, Seattle ended the half with six unanswered points and only trailed 47-45 at the intermission.

The Sonics also won the first meeting between these teams on November 14 at KeyArena, 118-113. Seattle has won five consecutive meetings and 20 of the last 23 overall, including 10 of the last 12 at the Grizzlies.

Seattle, which owns an NBA-best 10-2 mark, is 6-2 away from home this season...Seattle is 6-1 versus teams in the West.
