NBA Game Summary - San Antonio at Toronto

(Sunday, November 21st)

Final Score: Toronto 96, San Antonio 91

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Lamond Murray scored all 13 of his points in the fourth quarter, including a clutch three-pointer down the stretch, as the Toronto Raptors ended San Antonio's six-game winning streak with a 96-91 win at the Air Canada Centre.

Chris Bosh had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Raptors, who put the brakes on a five-game losing streak. Rafer Alston also had 20 points, while Morris Peterson chipped in 16 for Toronto.

Tim Duncan paced the Spurs with a game-high 26 points and 15 boards. Tony Parker contributed 13 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Spurs, who were outscored 33-9 in the fourth quarter.

Trailing by an 82-63 score, Toronto opened the fourth quarter on a 19-4 run as Peterson's three-pointer with 5 1/2 minutes remaining in the game pulled Toronto within four. The Raptors would later even the score at 87 apiece on two foul shots by Bosh and an Alston layup in succession. Alston then gave the Raptors an 89-88 lead after Duncan sank 1-of-2 free throws.

With less than two minutes to go, Murray hit a three from the top of the key and the Raptors had a 92-90 lead. Murray, who also had a big block on Duncan, then sealed the win with an 18-foot jumper for a 94-90 edge with 14.6 seconds left.

"I thought they (refs) would have called a foul," Murray said after the game. "I just made sure that he (Duncan) didn't make the shot. He usually gets those (foul) calls."

Alston, a former playground legend, buried a three-pointer early in the first quarter for an 11-8 Toronto lead. The Raptors later made it 20-15 on two Brent Barry free throws and led 27-23 after 12 minutes of play.

Toronto's lead grew to 34-24 on Peterson's basket less than two minutes into the second quarter. San Antonio then scored 11 in a row for a 35-34 lead and carried a 52-44 edge into the locker room.

The Raptors tied the game at 54-54 on Bosh's jumper in the third, but the Spurs eventually pulled away. Bruce Bowen later buried consecutive three- pointers and San Antonio had a comfortable 73-58 cushion with less than three minutes to go in the period. The Spurs then led 82-63 after 36 minutes.
