East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Antawn Jamison scored 27 points to lead Washington to a 97-86 win over New Jersey at Continental Airlines Arena.
Larry Hughes contributed 22 points for the Wizards, who snapped an eight-game losing streak in New Jersey and notched their second straight victory overall.

Down 69-67, Washington rallied early in the fourth quarter. Two foul shots by Juan Dixon put the Wizards ahead 76-73, but Travis Best answered with a pair from the line to get New Jersey within 76-75. After a Gilbert Arenas free throw, Jamison's jumper made it 79-75 with 7:11 to go.

New Jersey cut its deficit to 88-83 on a short jumper by Mourning with 2:38 to go, but got no closer.
"With our offense we are going sneak up on a lot of people," Jamison said. "We can score points without even thinking about it."
Neither team led by more than four points early on. A three-point play by Jarvis Hayes with 52 seconds remaining in the first quarter put the Wizards ahead 25-23 at the end of the first.
Washington opened the second quarter with a 14-3 run. A basket by Dixon less than four minutes in opened a 39-26 advantage.
New Jersey got within 43-34 on a dunk by Mourning, but the Wizards quickly opened a 50-36 edge on a three-pointer by Hughes with 2:59 to play in the second.
Jamison's basket, just over three minutes into the third quarter, put Washington ahead 56-47.
However, the Nets ended the third strong, leading 69-67. Aaron Williams scored seven points to spark their 22-11 burst at the end of the quarter.
