NBA Game Summary - Miami at Detroit

Final Score: Miami 88, Detroit 73

Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade filled the stat sheet with 24 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals as the Miami Heat cruised to an 88-73 win over the Detroit Pistons.

LeBron James added 17 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and four steals for the Heat, who have won four straight and seven of their last nine games. Chris Bosh had 15 points and nine rebounds.

Miami outscored Detroit 46-26 in the paint and tallied 27 points off 23 Detroit turnovers.

"We had very active feet, active hands," said Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra. "I liked a lot of the things that were going on."

Brandon Knight nailed four three-pointers en route to 18 points for the Pistons, who have lost four consecutive contests. Tayshaun Prince had 11 points.

"We have to start the game off better," said Knight. "It's really all just about effort and doing it as a collective unit."

Bosh had seven points and three boards while James provided six points and four helpers as the Heat led 27-20 after one.

The newly acquired Ronny Turiaf capped a 13-3 Heat run to start the second with a layup as the Heat took a commanding 40-23 advantage midway through the period. Shane Battier had five points during the stretch.

Miami, which outscored Detroit 32-16 in the second, took a 59-36 lead into the break. Wade led all first-half scorers with 14 points.

"We won this game defensively," said Wade.

The Heat led by as many as 26 in the third until the Pistons battled back.

Trailing 72-57 after three, Jonas Jerebko brought Detroit within 74-65 following a breakaway dunk with 8:58 left.

But Miami responded with a 10-2 push to put the game away.

Game Notes

The Heat have won seven straight games in Detroit and six in a row overall against the Pistons...Miami shot 57 percent in the first half...Detroit was without guard Rodney Stuckey due to a sore left big toe.
